Stormwater Management Partnership: REHAU and Hydro Collaboration
With an additional 1.2 million Great British properties being placed at risk of flooding by 2050, according to Gamma Location Intelligence, REHAU announces the extension of an exclusive stormwater management deal with Hydro International for the UK and Ireland.
Earlier this year climate scientists urged the Government to create more natural drainage systems to cope with the impact of the climate crisis, with scientists from the Climate Coalition also highlighting that England has experienced a major flood almost every year since 2007.
Modular storage systems can offer a solution, according to REHAU, a leader in the building services sector. Its technology sits behind Hydro International’s Stormbloc® Optimum geocellular attenuation system providing SuDS (sustainable drainage systems) storage and infiltration in the most challenging of urban environments. REHAU’s innovative stormwater systems have been used widely across Europe for many years before being introduced to the UK in 2018.
