Small steps, lasting effects.

Today, we all decide how the future will be. Every local contribution counts. Local authorities and industry need each other. Get to know our nevoPP series, the first polymer wastewater system that is 100% climate-neutral* over the entire product life cycle – clearly measurable on the basis of independent calculations. The next step for all those who want to plan, build and operate sustainable wastewater disposal systems.

nevoPP for your sustainability targets

  • Reduction of the carbon footprint of your construction project – over the entire product life cycle, including compensation of the residual CO2 content.
  • Conservation of resources – through less need for newly produced plastic.
  • Strengthening the recycling economy – by taking back materials such as construction site cuttings and old pipes.

Products

AWADUKT nevoPP SN10

Heavy-duty sewer pipe system made from new and recycled polypropylene

Our climate-neutral sewer pipe system* for separating and mixing systems with general building authority approval (approval pending) made of 100% polypropylene polymer. It contains PP recycled material as the core material and PP virgin material on the inner surfaces in contact with wastewater and the outer surfaces in contact with the ground. Designed for high loads, the pipes are suitable for all installation conditions in municipal drainage, for new developments and replacement construction as well as for installation in water protection zones II and III. The well-known standard range of moulded parts gives you maximum flexibility in planning.

* Sewer system with no moulded parts. Climate neutrality externally certified by TÜV Rheinland, including offsetting.

Benefits

  • Heavy-duty sewer pipe with push-fit double sockets made of polypropylene with form-fitted or friction-fitted EPDM seals in the dimensions DN 110–400
  • Thanks to the 100% polypropylene polymer, the pipe structure has a full-wall PP surface and at least 80% PP RC core
  • High static and dynamic load-bearing capacity and point load resistance
  • Suitable for winter construction sites down to -10°C
  • Resistant to pH values from 1 to 13
  • Temperature-resistant permanently up to 60 °C and briefly up to 90 °C
  • Tightness of at least 5 bar with deformation and angular deflection thanks to Safety Lock sealing system
  • Inspection-friendly, smooth inner surface in orange colour
  • Likely to last at least 100 years. 10-year guarantee.
  • 100% operational reliability thanks to a coordinated system consisting of pipes, moulded parts, chambers, connection systems and corresponding services

Certified climate neutrality

nevoPP's CO2 emissions and climate neutrality are externally and independently certified by TÜV Rheinland. The calculation of emissions was based on the product carbon footprint, which considers the entire life cycle of a product and its impact on the climate.

Pilot construction sites

For the first time, pilot sites tested the nevoPP range before it was released to market. Innovation and feedback will remain important components in the future, so that we can move closer to climate neutrality and the circular economy together, step by step. Learn about the most important facts and framework data on the projects here.

“We are delighted to be able to test a new pipe material in this project. Since the product offered is CO2 neutral, it supports our activities aimed at becoming CO2 neutral in the medium term. It fulfils all the requirements that we have placed on our material to date and its use contributes to the promotion of sustainability."

Measurable sustainability

nevoPP stands for a consistent approach to CO2 avoidance. Until the target has been achieved in full, we will offset the remaining proportion. All in a selected project that contributes to climate protection according to three clear criteria: additional, measurable, sustainable.

Our climate protection project

Renaturalisation and protection of moorland in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania

Over the past centuries, a large number of moors were drained with the help of drainage ditches, and the exposed peat was extracted. On the one hand, this was important for supplying produce to the population because agriculture could utilise the land. However, this resulted in the release of harmful greenhouse gases that had been trapped in moors for hundreds of years. The project in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania aims to make it possible to utilise the storage power of the moors once again through renaturation. That's why we confidently support the project!

Project details

Why is moorland so important for the climate?

Moors trap particularly high levels of CO2

Renaturalisation can greatly reduce emissions from drained moorland. A renaturalised moor restores a negative CO2 balance to a positive one.

Moors store rainwater

For this reason, they make an important contribution to protecting areas from soil erosion and flooding. They also help to improve the quality of groundwater by filtering nutrients and pollutants out of the water.

Moors are an important habitat

Intact moors are an important habitat for many specialised and endangered animal and plant species, including the bittern (a heron species) and sundew, the second largest genus of carnivorous plants.

Our additional commitment

We are also supporting a project in India that enables households to switch from inefficient and environmentally harmful practices to solar lights and water filters.

To this end, the project awards Microenergy-Credits (MECs) to small companies, thereby making solar lights and water filters affordable to local people for whom these technologies are otherwise often too expensive.
