Geothermal energy with RAUGEO

RAUGEO geothermal heat probe High efficiency and low operating costs

Heating from a geothermal energy source, independent of raw material prices, political developments and crises – and environmentally friendly too. The geothermal probe utilises geothermal energy either from the surface or from the depths. Generating energy, geothermal collectors gather heat from the upper layers of the earth, or probes utilise geothermal energy from a depth of around 300 metres. The low operating costs and high efficiency make geothermal energy an attractive solution – in the private sector in combination with panel heating systems, and in commercial buildings as an energy source for concrete core tempering.

RAUGEO PE-Xa green geothermal probes

Resilient

Installed at a depth of 300 metres, RAUGEO PE-Xa green effectively uses the constant temperatures of the deeper ground to generate energy. The big plus: its rough outer layer, in combination with our backfill material, ensures a system tightness that conventional geothermal systems do not offer.

Areas of application for RAUGEO PE-Xa green

  • Heating and cooling in conjunction with a heat pump
  • Free cooling, i.e. passive cooling of living spaces
  • Keeps outdoor facilities free from ice, e.g. via bridge or ramp heating
  • Heat storage in the ground in combination with solar thermal energy or other energy sources
  • Ideal for combining with radiant heating and cooling systems or concrete core tempering

Benefits of RAUGEO PE-Xa green

  • The probe system meets the highest safety requirements
  • Minimal water conductivity for optimal thermal efficiency
  • 10-year guarantee (see RAUGEO PE-Xa guarantee certificate, print no. 827510)

RAUGEO geothermal pile

Foundation pile with dual use

Geothermal or energy piles fulfil a dual function in modern building construction: they are used as bored piles in poorly load-bearing subsoil for building foundations and later serve as energy piles with integrated collector pipes for the use of near-surface geothermal energy. Thanks to their highly resistant material properties and particularly small bending radius, RAUGEO Helix XXL PE-Xa pipes are perfect for use in energy piles.

Areas of application

  • Covering the energy base load thanks to the energy activation of foundation piles, which are required anyway
  • Heating and cooling in conjunction with a free-cooling heat pump, i.e. passive cooling of living spaces
  • Ideal for combining with radiant heating and cooling systems or concrete core tempering

Benefits

  • Up to 50% faster installation thanks to telescopic technology
  • Up to 10% increased withdrawal capacity
  • Optimised pipe bend
  • No seams – no weak points
