FUSAPEX: Temperature-resistant jointing technique

FUSAPEX electrofusion fitting Temperature-resistant up to +95 °C

FUSAPEX, the electrofusion coupler, can be used at temperatures up to +95 °C. Along with the RAUTHERMEX and RAUVITHERM pipe systems for district heating, RAUFRIGO-FW and RAUTHERM-FW for industrial heating and RAUPEX for chemicals, water and compressed air, it forms a fully polymer and therefore corrosion-resistant system.
The areas of application for FUSAPEX electrofusion fitting range from district heating supply, thermal water transport and heating installations to the transport of hot, aggressive media.

FUSAPEX electrofusion fitting

For the RAUPEX, RAUTHERM, RAUTHERMEX and RAUVITHERM pipe systems

The following REHAU PE-Xa pipe types can be connected with FUSAPEX electrofusion couplers and PE-Xa reducers and flanges: RAUPEX-A, -K, -O, -M, -UV, RAUTHERM-FW, RAUTHERMEX and RAUVITHERM.

The FUSAPEX electrofusion fittings have a resistance wire. By means of electric current, this wire is heated to the required fusion temperature at which bonding is takes place automatically. Each fitting has an integrated recognition resistor, which ensures the automatic setting of the welding parameters in the REHAU welding apparatus.

The product range includes fittings for couplings, angles, reducers, flanges, threaded joints and branches.

Benefits

  • Operating temperature -40°C to +95°C
  • Operating pressure max. 6 bar
  • Corrosion-resistant
  • Cost effective
  • Total plastic system
  • Excellent chemical resistance
  • Modular construction principle for the low-cost arrangement of the required fittings depending on the requirements of the construction site
  • Dimension range 50–160 SDR 11

FUSAPEX training certificate: A REHAU training course with a test at the end is required for installation of FUSAPEX electrofusion couplers. This training is usually carried out on site by REHAU employees. As proof of training for this connection of industrial pipes, the attendee receives a FUSAPEX processor card with their personal identification number.

Further information on the connection system can be found in the technical information "FUSAPEX electrofusion coupler" in the download portal.
