The complete system for acoustic soil and waste that is characterised by optimum sound and fire protection. Our pipe, moulded parts and accessories product range RAUPIANO PLUS can be used universally and is compatible with conventional HT and KG systems in all dimensions from DN 32 to DN 200. Suitable for both family homes and large-scale commercial plumbing projects, it offers a whole host of advantages.

With RAUPIANO PLUS, you gain up to 35% more space: Compared to SML, RAUPIANO PLUS creates more valuable living space through measurably lower space requirements. REHAU's fire protection solutions in particular save space. The large fall-pipe brackets that are required for SML cast-iron pipes are eliminated as well. The slim RAUPIANO PLUS mounting system offers ample installation freedom – even in tight areas.

Improved flow rate: RAUPIANO PLUS offers up to a 20% higher flow rate, meaning as many as nine, rather than just five, bathrooms with a toilet, shower, wash basin and bathtub can be connected to one downpipe.

Faster installation: Eliminating possible errors in planning and installation and reducing the installation effort required, speeds up installation by up to 30% compared with SML cast-iron pipes.

Lower material costs: RAUPIANO PLUS reduces material costs by as much as a third when compared to the conventional combination of SML cast iron and HT polymer pipes. With the saved installation time, it also pays off for you as the installer.

The cost benefits for installation and materials using the example of a commercial project with 313 residential units. The investor and contractor have assessed the installation with SML and HT. The calculation was based on the list of materials. The installation times were taken from an independent, third-party study by Innung Spengler, Sanitär- und Heizungstechnik in Munich.

Noise protection

Fulfils even the stricter VDI Directive 4100 with ease

Ultra-quiet building drainage, verified by the Fraunhofer Institute: with sound levels of just 17 dB(A)*, our RAUPIANO PLUS sound insulation pipe system is far below the values required by the VDI 4100 sound insulation guideline. It is quieter than a whisper, as all of the components – the pipes, the moulded parts and the mounting equipment – help RAUPIANO PLUS to eliminate noise pollution.

Sound-absorbing multi-layer technology

The exceptionally rigid middle layer of our pipes achieves a pipe density of 1.9 g/cm3. This massively reduces the sound level.

Less impact sound at pipe bends

Targeted mass optimisation in impact areas of bends from DN 90 to 160 reduces sound generation. At the same time, hydraulically optimised inner contours of the branches minimise flow noise.

It’s even quieter thanks to the structure-borne sound insulation

Our highly sound-dampening clamp fastening isolates structure-borne sound. Consisting of a support and fixing bracket, it significantly minimises structure-borne sound transmission to the installation wall. The correct starting torque for the guiding clamp is provided by the practical clamp lock and a spacer. Moreover, the special geometry of the rubber lining ensures the pipe is centred with the same distance to all sides of the bracket.

Fire protection

R90 with zero clearance: minimal space requirements, maximum planning reliability

Our RAUPIANO PLUS sound insulation pipe system also excels in fire protection. When combined with our RAUTITAN pipes for drinking water and heating, the painstaking checking of the required minimum spacing can be eliminated altogether. Both systems have been evaluated in combination, and zero clearance for almost all combinations is confirmed by experts. This also applies to the combination of RAUPIANO PLUS with non-combustible metal pipes.

Our fire protection solutions are certified by the German building authorities and can withstand fire for at least 90 minutes.

Without compromising thermal insulation, our fire protection solutions can even be used in thermally insulated ceilings, e.g. in underground car parks.
